Walt: conduct a statistical investigation.
We used google maps to determine the walking distance to 124 Apirana Avenue. This is the entrance to the Omaru Creek that we are studying. The screenshot shows the route, distance and time from my house to the creek. The person that lives the furthest is Zain and it takes him 4.8km which takes 59mins to walk to the creek in Apirana Ave. Jolie lives the closest and it takes her 550m which takes her 7mins to walk to the creek in Apirana Ave. Harrison lives in East Tamaki so he was asked him to calculate how long it takes to walk from the station to Apirana Ave. Next, we will be calculating the mean and the median.

I liked the way that you have described in details the routes to take to the creek. It takes me two minutes to get to my house from school. How close are you to the creek?
