Reciprocal Fractions.
Today for maths I played an activity which got to do with reciprocal fractions. I really understand reciprocal fractions now. It was really easy playing this game because all I had to do was swap the denominator with the numerator. I really liked playing this not because it was easy, its because it was really interesting to learn and play.

Swimming sports.
Today was swimming sports and it was so fun. Everyone that participated had a great time and couldn't wait until they had class relays. It was so fun watching them swim. Im disappointed that I didn't swim because it looked like they had fun, and because I was boiling hot. I enjoyed all the strokes that were done.

Fraction Splat.
This morning I played a game called fraction splat. I enjoyed playing this game because it was challenging and also fast. This game helped me to know fraction properly. Most of the questions that were there, I got right but the rest I didn’t. I hope I get to do something more interesting and more challenging.

Silhouette- Te Taiao o Tāmaki
This terms topic was about Omaru Creek and we did art that was linked to it which is bulrushes and cabbage trees because it is in Omaru Creek. Silhouette cabbage trees and bulrushes are on the banks of the Omaru Creek. We used red and orange dye for the back and green dye for the background. We used black paint to do the cabbage trees. I enjoyed painting this.

Dragonflies- Te Taiao o Tāmaki,
Today our class made dragonflies and it was so much fun. We made them because it is linked to our topic which is Omaru Creek. People found that if their are dragonflies in the creek that means that it is a clean and fresh creek. It was so much fun making dragonflies and I hope we get to make something else that is linked to our topic.

Get NZ Writing- Packaged opened.
Today our class received a package from Grey main school in greymouth. We were really excited about it. My favourite thing about it was where there favourite place is in their school which is their garden because it's big. We all enjoyed reading the postcards. The line I read was “Caleb is a hard working machine that spits out sweat”. I really think it was an interesting metaphor to read.

Statistical Investigation
Walt: conduct a statistical investigation.
We used google maps to determine the walking distance to 124 Apirana Avenue. This is the entrance to the Omaru Creek that we are studying. The screenshot shows the route, distance and time from my house to the creek. The person that lives the furthest is Zain and it takes him 4.8km which takes 59mins to walk to the creek in Apirana Ave. Jolie lives the closest and it takes her 550m which takes her 7mins to walk to the creek in Apirana Ave. Harrison lives in East Tamaki so he was asked him to calculate how long it takes to walk from the station to Apirana Ave. Next, we will be calculating the mean and the median.

Acceleratin for T1W4
My acceleration for T1W5 was in maths. I now understand how to divide numbers without using the remainders and converting them into decimals. It was really challenging but it was worth it. I really liked learning about it and I hope we will learn something else more challenging.

ASB: Earn Spend Save
(Being good with money)
Today one of the ASB members, Anina came to our school to tell us and to show us how we can make good choices with our money in the future. She gave us really good advice on how to make good choices with our money. Everything that she told us can really help me and can also help my parents to know how to spend their money wisely.
