Chalk englargement

Today room8 and I were learning about enlargement. On friday we practice drawing our grid on sandpaper so that today we would know how to draw the grid outside. The image that I selected was a flower. We had to make a grid and put our picture in it.

When we went outside to do our chalk enlargement I had to wait for my turn to use the ruler. Once I got it, I drew my grid. It was really hard drawing my grid and picture because I am not really good at drawing. The picture I used was a flower. I thought it was going to be easy but it was challenging. My chalk enlargement was a disaster because I didn't use my grid or count the squares but then I fixed it by using another colour.

Today this morning room8 learned about enlargement. We learned about what scale factor and transformation means. We had to draw our picture on our grid and then colour it. It was easy for me because I chose an easy one to draw. Next time I will like to learn about multiplying harder numbers.

My why.

  1. Identify your goal
  2. Find your why - the purpose for your goal
  3. Create an action plan to help you reach your goal and fulfil your why

My why:

If I knew I couldn’t fail I will try my hardest all the time and do everything that will help me achieve to do what I want to do. My passion and dream is to be a netball player.

The purpose of my goal is to prove people wrong like my dad. I want to show my dad that I can be a sportsperson and show him that I can do it. My motivation is my family because they support me when I play sports and they believe that I can be an sportsperson.

The steps to my goal is to attempt every netball game, try to get fit, practise some skills and try my hardest to do everything that will help me to play netball better. My values are good sportsmanship, excellence and respect these values will help me achieve to be a better netball player.

What's your why?

Haiku Lesson

Yesterday for our writing, our class had to write their own haiku poem. My group and I made a Haiku poem. We were also learning about the rules of a haiku. In a Haiku poem there are rules and they are:
- seasonal reference
- syllables
- cutting point
Also in a haiku poem it does not need to rhyme.

HAIKU POEM:

Clouds emptied the sky,
Waves gently hit the rocks
Blanketing the sand

Hurricane

Fractions and decimal.

This morning I played this math game and it is was got to do with fraction and decimals. I really enjoyed playing this game because it helped to know more about fraction and decimals. It was kind of hard because I was worrying about the time. Next time I will definitely play it again so that I really know it.
