Pace      Acceleration      Consolidation

Today I did a basic facts test on stage 7. I have have accelerated and improved in my results and also in fractions and percentages. In my last basic facts test I got 75%. Next I would like to learn how to work two step equations. By the end of this year I would like to be at a stage 8 because I would like to move to the next level to learn even more harder questions.

Circle Vocabulary Puzzle- Maths T3W10

Today for maths we were learning about Radius, Diameter, Circumference Chord and Tangent. I learned what all of this means. After we did a little practice on drawing it using a compass we had the chance to make a puzzle based on it. It was so much fun making it because at the end I got to complete it.

Maths- Perpendicular.

This morning we learned about how to draw a Perpendicular. It was my first time drawing one. It was hard at first because I used a compass and I dont use compasses that often. I learned so much about Perpendicular and it was so much fun.

I have accelerated in Maths because I have been more focused during class lessons and also because I play lots of activities to practise. I also have accelerated because I now understand more about decimals, Percentages and fractions. By the end of the year I would like to achieve more by getting a 5B or 5P. To get a 5B or 5P I will Keep focusing during maths lessons and also by playing more math activities.

I have accelerated in Reading because I have done more independent reading and because I have better understanding for Making greater connections and also by knowing the author's purpose. By the end of the year I would like to achieve more by getting a 5B or 5P. To get an 5B or a 5B I would focus more while independent reading.

I have not accelerated in writing because I struggle with explanation writing. I also haven't accelerated in writing because I don't proofread my writing to make sure it makes sense. By the end of the year I want to achieve more by getting an 4B or 4P. To get a 4B or an 4P I need to focus during writing lessons. In writing I need to make sure I  use more precise verbs and words.

In maths I think I have done good because i’m on my way to getting an 4P and 4A. In Reading I think I did well because i’m also on my way to getting a 4A and an 5B. In writing I think I did bad because I will below.

Matific Games.

Today the Matific games began. I was really excited to play the games. The score I got was 1000 and I was happy because I was able to and start again. I enjoyed playing matific.

This Term the two things I want to accelerate is my Maths and Writing. I want to accelerate maths and writing because I am below and well below in them.  

In term 2 for maths I got 3A and for this term i want to get a 4A.

In term 2 for writing I got 3A and for this term I want to get a 4A.

Matariki- Maths

Maths- Volume practise games.

Today I played maths games and it was so much fun. The games that I played was based on volume. It was easy and also a little bit difficult. What I had to do in the first game was find how many squares or cubes could fit in the box and then in the second game I had to choose the height the length and the width to make a 3D shape and also in the last game I had to solve volume problems. I now have a better understanding of volume because I can solve volume problems and also because I know the meaning of volume is and what it is.

Measuring angles.

For the past few days our class have been revising angles. Mrs. Ramkolowan taped one desk from each group and yesterday we used the protractors to measure the angles. We measured acute angles and obtuse angles. It was really easy for me to read the measurement but for some others it was hard. It was really fun because it helped me to remember what angles are.

E-asttle Maths June result.

This morning I set a maths test and some questions were challenging and easy. I think I have accelerated in maths because in Term 1 I got a 3P and this term I got an 3A. I am happy with the result I got but I still think I could’ve done better.

Doing maths with corn.

My group and I were estimating the parts of cob of sweetcorn. I worked with Shanelle and Ketura. The closest estimation was the row of kernels. I found estimation difficult because I didn't  know what estimation was. Once my group explained to me it started to get easy.  We used tidy numbers. Next, I will like to learn how to divide 3 or 4 digit numbers.

Maths Division Ride.

In this game it was really cool because it helped on my division. It was also really easy because I knew most of my times tables. In this game you have to answer all the question given if not then you will die and then the game will start again.
