My corn art.

This is my corn that I have been working on for the past few days and I am very happy now that I have finished it.  When I was working on this corn it was very hard because I had to draw the kernels and it was very hard too. Last but not least it wasn’t that hard to draw everything else so when I finished I dyed it then people helped to put it up on the wall.

Set- Card game

WALT: revise fractions, decimals and percentages.

On the mat we were playing an interesting game that got to do with decimals, fractions and percentages. When the cards were given I was scared because I thought I was going to get it wrong. As I saw most of them finish their set I thought it was easy and then I tried and I finally got a set. Next I will like to learn what is ratio.

Corn survey

For the past 2 weeks we have been studying ‘’corn maths’’. We also made a survey for room8 children and two room 11 children and staff to fill it in to see how they like their corn.

I used ‘’create a graph’’ online to draw two graphs.

I found this tool very helpful because all I had to do was put words in and the tool would do the rest. I will definitely use this tool when  it comes to making graphs because it makes everything easier for me to do.

Doing maths with corn.

My group and I were estimating the parts of cob of sweetcorn. I worked with Shanelle and Ketura. The closest estimation was the row of kernels. I found estimation difficult because I didn't  know what estimation was. Once my group explained to me it started to get easy.  We used tidy numbers. Next, I will like to learn how to divide 3 or 4 digit numbers.

In this reading game it was really cool because I got to choose words to fit them in sentences to see if it makes sense. I really liked this game because it also helped me with my reading as well.

Times Tables Practice

In this game it was really easy because all you had to do was answer the division questions. Also in this game it you had to try and make it to another level but I made it to level 3 because some questions were a bit hard and I kept on getting them wrong sometimes.

Maths Division Ride.

In this game it was really cool because it helped on my division. It was also really easy because I knew most of my times tables. In this game you have to answer all the question given if not then you will die and then the game will start again.
